ACLS and Airway Course
From 16-19 July 2025 Brownell Wilderness Adventures and Saskatoon Institute for Medical Simulation (https://sksims.ca/index) are offering an ACLS and Advanced Airway Course.
This fully accredited course is held at our fly in fishing camp in Northern Saskatchewan. The course syllabus includes plenty of time for enjoying nature and leisure activities. Camp amenities include: canoes, paddle boards, flush toilets and hot showers.

Backcountry Adventure SOS From 14-17 Sept 2025
Brownell Wilderness Adventures and Voyageur Technical (https://www.voyageurtechnical.ca/) are offering a
Wilderness Medicine Course.
Experienced Military and Civilian instructors use real world drills and scenarios to teach essential skills in managing medical emergencies in remote and austere environments. Attendess will learn splinting, tourniquet application, casualty stabilization, and packaging for safe transport, alongside fundamental fire-building and survival techniques. The course also covers clothing considerations for varying conditions and improvised first aid strategies when resources are limited. Designed to provide hands-on training to prepare individuals to confidently handle medical challenges far from immediate help.
The course also allows for plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of Northern Saskatchewan. This course is eligible for CME credits through the CFPC Linking to Learning program. Space is limited to 12 participants so please book now.

Brownell Wilderness Adventures is a light house keeping camp. Participants will be expected to bring and prepare their own food and drinks. Participants should bring their own fishing gear and sleeping bags. The accommodations are shared and there will be up to six people per cabin. Participants may pitch a tent if they prefer. At the conclusion of the course the participants will be asked to clean the cabins and shared spaces.
